Dairy Farms
Sample Dairy Tour (Three Day)
Arrive in Dublin.
You will be greeted by a Farm Tours Ireland friendly guide.
Ireland is very diverse in its dairy production systems. Small efficient family farms producing milk from the green pastures are the most common sight. In contrast to this, the first farm to visit will be a high production, 500 cow herd in the Dublin region using all the latest technology in breeding, feeding, housing and milking.
We will then visit a milk processing facility to see how the Irish dairy processing sector has evolved.
Stay in one of the local hotels. Experts can be arranged to give you an insight into dairy farming in Ireland. Dine at the hotel and relax for the evening.
Travel south to Ireland’s premier grassland region and visit one of the many family farms that are employing the latest models of grass grazing management and breeding strategies that will help implement our imminent rapid industry expansion.
No visit would be complete without a trip to Teagascs world famous research in dairy technology centre in Moorepark, Cork. Research carried out here has been adopted mainly from New Zealand production systems and has been modelled to suit Irish conditions.

Visit the Irish Farm Centre in Dublin and meet the dedicated people who are working for Irish farmers at home and in Europe. Discussions on Irish and European dairy policy will allow for a better understanding of the dairy industry.
Before you depart, stay in Dublin, Ireland’s Capital City. Dublin is regarded as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world yet it is steeped in history that stretches back over 1000 years.
There are many fantastic tours available. A typical Irish evenings entertainment can be arranged where you can sample the best of Irish food and fun. You could just relax and sample the Guinness in one of many famous pubs or go shopping before being escorted back to the airport or ferry for your return journey.
Tours can be custom built to suit your needs. They can be 100% technical and business oriented or they can have a mixture of business and culture. We can cater for groups of various sizes. Two or three delegates on a fact finding mission can be chauffer driven by our guide. Larger groups will travel by bus. Interpreters are available on request to cater for your particular needs and ensure you enjoy your time in Ireland.
